Fostering Excellence: Monthly High School Scholarship in Ghana

Overview

The “Fostering Excellence” oquaye scholarship is a monthly program aimed at providing financial support to high-achieving high school students in Ghana. It seeks to recognize outstanding academic performance, leadership potential, and community involvement.

The goal is to empower talented students to pursue their educational aspirations without financial constraints, encouraging a culture of excellence and leadership.

Eligibility Criteria

Ghanaian Citizenship

Applicants must be citizens of Ghana, providing valid proof of citizenship. ( In the Greater Accra Area)

High School Enrollment

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a recognized high school in Ghana. ( OSU,Splintex, Greater Accra Area)

Academic Performance

Applicants must maintain a minimum academic standard, such as a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent.

Leadership Potential

Demonstrated leadership skills through participation in school clubs or community organizations will be advantageous.

Financial Need

Preference will be given to students facing financial challenges in pursuing higher education.( Proof Required)

Recommendation Letter

An endorsement from a teacher, principal, or community leader will be required.

Application Process

Online Application

Applicants can access the scholarship form through an online portal, providing personal information, academic records, extracurricular details, and an essay expressing their aspirations.

Review Committee

A dedicated committee will evaluate applications based on eligibility criteria and potential.

Interviews (if necessary)

Shortlisted candidates may undergo interviews to better understand their achievements and circumstances.

Monthly Selection

The scholarship will be awarded monthly, benefiting multiple students throughout the academic year.

Scholarship Disbursement

The scholarship amount will be sent directly to the student’s school to cover educational expenses.
